Positive reference for Jonathan (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/jonathan-redaelly) Jonathan has a great attitude to couch surfing having both hosted and stayed with people before, it was cool being able to host him for a few days in NYC while he was attending a conference. He is quiet and reserved and perhaps because of his schedule he seemed more interested in relaxing than exploring NYC although it was cool to get out with him to Korea-town and to a local Italian restaurant. Jonathan's reference for me: Ant is really nice guy who knows a lot about the city. He himself is a very interesting kind of guy and I am so thankful to have gotten the chance to meet and spend some time with him. If you are looking for not just a host, but friend, then consider staying with Ant.
Positive reference for Oom (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/oomy) Oom is a great surfer, I was able to host him for a couple in nights in NYC, he is a great chef and it was cool hearing about his experiences working with famous chefs in Thailand and the US - it was cool showing him Chinatown and getting some tips for my cooking! He is thoughtful and respectful, bringing a nice gift from Thailand and buying me breakfast. Oom's reference: Ant is a great host, friendly, fun and helpful = I have the wonderful time in New York City! πŸ‡ΉπŸ‡πŸ•ΊπŸ»πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ
Positive reference for Boudewijn (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/boudewijn-lamper) It was great being able to host Boudewijn for a couple of nights in NYC at the start of his trip touring the US as a marimba musician. Boudewijn is a great guy, easy going and it was great hearing about his experiences in music and traveling, it was cool being able to show him Chinatown and Central Park. Boudewijn's reference: Ant is an intelligent, friendly guy who owns a small apartment conveniently located in Manhattan. It was cool to be able to hang out with another couchsurfer who was staying there as well while Ant was working. Hope to be able to meet again when I'm back in NYC.
Positive reference for Gio (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/giovanni-guiducci-2) It was cool being able to host Gio for a week for his first couch surfing experience. Gio is friendly, considerate and respectful, he loves to travel and it was great being able to share some experiences of NYC with him. I enjoyed showing him around my neighborhood and hearing about his daily trips around the city. He brought me a nice gift from his home town and I hope he will have alot of positive experiences from couch surfing.
Positive Reference for Michael (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/michael-stiefelmeyer) It was cool being able to host Michael and his friend Jens for four nights in NYC, at the end of their big trip through Asia, Australia and the Americas. Michael is easy going and relaxed and was easy to host, he loves chess so was cool hearing about his experiences playing chess in central park. I also got to show them one of my favorite dumpling places in Chinatown which was cool. Micheal's reference: Anthony is a great guy, I guess he knows everything about NYC. If you have him you don't need a guide anymore. We went together to Chinatown for dinner at walked a little bit around the city. Thank you for everything!!
