Reference for Nicholas (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/nicholas-bogus) Nicholas stayed with me for 3 days in NYC, I didn't get to see him much which was pretty disappointing given the amount of effort it takes to host someone, however he seemed to appreciate his stay and from our brief interactions he seemed like a cool person who would be good to hang out with.
Reference for Oliver (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/oliverbeatson) I hosted Oliver for three nights in NYC, from our brief interactions he seemed like a nice person however his stay was pretty disappointing as he seemed to use my hospitality as a free place to sleep. The only time I would hear from him was when he would wake me up late at night to be let in after his day out in NYC. Hopefully as he is new to couch surfing he might be able to show a bit more interest and respect for his future hosts.
Positive reference for Jakob (https://www.couchsurfing.com/users/2005039677) Jakob is a great person, really friendly and easy to get on with, he is also really into the gym and it was cool being able to show him my local gym during his stay. He adapted well to my lifestyle and I enjoyed hearing about his experiences working in South America. He is thoughtful, trustworthy and it was great being able to host him for his stay in NYC even though I ended up having to go away for a night. I look forward to seeing him in Berlin in the future!
Positive reference for Greg (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/greg-wilson-7) Greg stayed with me for two nights in NYC at the end of his big trip around the US. He is a nice person, friendly and easy to get on with, he was busy exploring the city for most of his stay so we didn't get much of a chance to hang out but it was cool hearing about his travels and his experiences living in South Africa. Greg's reference: Andy was a sweet and friendly host. He offered to show me around New York City and gave me some great advice about seeing the city on a budget.
Positive reference for Poss (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/poss-compton) Poss stayed with me for his first trip to NYC and his first experience using couchsurfing. Despite a blizzard, the crazy weather didn't stop him exploring NYC, even walking across the Brooklyn Bridge in the snow! He is easy going and adapted to my lifestyle quickly, we had a nice Japanese dinner and it was cool seeing how much he enjoyed being in NYC. Poss's reference: First time to couch surf and Ant made it the best! Knew a lot about NYC and allowed me to stay a little earlier than expected due the blizzard.
Positive reference for Jared (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/jaredcrowelle) Jared is a cool guy, very easy going and great to talk too. He stayed with me for a few days in NYC before heading off to Ireland and it was cool to share my lifestyle with him and hear his experiences of traveling and living in DC. He made a great dinner with some awesome pork, beans and mac and cheese, which was amazing! Hope to see him at the beach when his back from his vacation. Jared's reference: Ant was a great host. He was always up for a conversation, and explained why it's great to go to Australia, except for when he also explained how many creatures in Australia can kill you lol. His apartment was next to all kinds of great food too. Had a good time hanging with him and some of his friends over a game of FIFA (which I did better than I thought I would). He also let me cook him one of my fave dinner selections!!
Positive Reference for Juri (https://www.couchsurfing.com/users/2002720857 ) Hosting Juri was like having an old friend come to stay, he is aw esome, really e asy to get along with and a great travel er. He is a great net worker and during his stay organised a couple of dinners with other couchsurfers. I enjoyed checking out the Whitney and Guggenhe im G alleries with him and taking him to a NY C version of a Ba varian beer garden. He is also a good playstation player and hopefully I will win in FIFA when we next catch up! I would have no reservation in rec ommending him as a surfer and hope to see him in Berlin someday. Juri's reference : Ant was super nice and flexible and took me to some really nice places. He was fun to be around and knew a lot of useful information. Thanks for everything Ant, would definately come again!
