Positive Reference for Ben (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/benjamin-richel ) Ben stayed with me as a last minute request af ter he had to leave his hostel , h is a cool guy, really into electronic music and donuts! He had also been in NYC for six weeks so knew the city well. His stay with me was his first couchsurfing experience and it would have been nice to get to know him a bit more however he was out alot. I hope he enjoyed his stay and he continues to have good couchsurfing experiences. Ben's reference: Watch a TV show !
Positive Reference for Vrata (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/vratahavlik) I was lucky enough to host Vrata for a weekend in NYC during a break from his college exchange in Canada. Vrata is an awesome guy, it was his first visit and he managed to pack in as much sightseeing as possible during the weekend. Despite his big schedule we still had time to catch up and went to MOMA together and out for dinner and drinks. We both live by the same lifestyle so it was cool to hear about his experiences on vacation in Europe. Vrata is very thoughtful and considerate and I would definitely recommend him as a surfer. I hope to catch up with him again one day in Canada or the Czech Republic. Vrata's reference: I really enjoyed the stay by Ant's place. Ant is really kind, friendly, he helped me to orient in the city, recommended some places where to go. We even grabbed a beer, went to Museum of Modern Art and ate japanese food, delicious. Everything worked well as negotiated :-
Positive Reference for Jonathan (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/jonathan-solano) It was cool being able to have Jonathan stay for a few days following his move from Colombia to NYC. He is a great guy, relaxed and friendly. He was new to my lifestyle and despite thinking he might be embarrassed he embraced it fully and enjoyed it. He is also really knowledgeable about NYC, having visited a few times before and gave lots of advice to help one of my other surfers Vrata with his itinerary! Jonathan was great to host and will be welcome back if he ever needs a place again. Jonathan 's refere nce: He's a really easy going person. Even though he's opened to do plans together, you can also just enjoy your time as you wish and he'll be fine with it. Very kind.
Positive Reference for Daniel (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/daniel.p.s) Daniel stayed with me in NYC during his trip around Australia, Asia and the US. His a nice guy, quiet, considerate and respectful and also great at tidying up! He was pretty busy during his stay so we didn't get a chance to hang out much but was still nice hearing about his day and his experiences traveling. Hopefully I can catch up with him in Munich one day! Daniel's reference: Staying with Ant was great. He is very nice and friendly and has an apartment in a good location. Thanks!
Positive Reference for Josh (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/josh-brenner) Josh is an awesome guy (especially as he is Australian and also from the same beach where I grew up in Sydney) and it was cool being able to host him in NYC for a few days during his trip across North America. He is great to talk too and while he was pretty busy for most of this trip, we went and checked out a Gospel Mass together and a comedy show which was cool. He was new to my lifestyle and didn't get completely into it but took some baby steps! He is considerate and trustworthy and is welcome back to my place anytime. Jo sh's reference: Ant is a nice guy who lives in the upper east side of manhattan. I enjoyed hanging out with him both in the apartment and a bit outside when we went to see a comedy show and went to church on sunday morning in Harlem to see what its like. Thanks Ant
Positive Reference for Will (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/wt1) Will was a great surfer and it was cool having him stay with me for a weekend in NYC. He communicated really well his arrival and was easy to host and considerate. We both have a common interest in a lifestyle so it was cool hearing about his experiences with couchsurfing, at resorts and lakes in Texas and going to Burning Man. He is a fan of scotch and craft beers and it was cool catching up out each night of his stay. Will kindly took me out for some great burgers, following which we had some great craft beers at a local bar. He is great to hang out with but was also self sufficient spending the days out in NYC. I hope to see him in Texas sometime!  Will's reference for me: Surfing with Ant was great! He was a great host and a really cool person to get to know. His place is well-situated on the Upper East Side, nearby Yorkville and Lenox Hill neighborhoods. We shared some good beers and burgers and ta
My new blog to post my couchsurfing experiences and references as the couchsurfing website is too unreliable!
