Positive reference for Ely (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/ely-haou) Ely was an awesome surfer although unfortunately he could only stay for one day. He is really easy to talk too and was cool hearing about his experiences living and hosting in Canada. He is a great cook and having nude wine and cheese then coq au vin was awesome! He adapted really well to my lifestyle and I look forward getting to the beach with him one summer in Vancouver.
Positive reference for Christopher (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/christopher-cala) Christopher is new to couchsurfing but definitely has the right attitude towards it, I was able to host him as a last minute request due to a problem with his dorm and he was a great guest. It was cool being able to have a drink and chat about NYC, traveling and his experiences with nudism. He is really easy to talk too and respectful, I would highly recommend him as a guest.
Positive reference for Sergey (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/sergey.shitov) It was great meeting Sergey when he stayed with me for a weekend in NYC. He arrived pretty late and left early but it was easy to host him and was cool hearing about his experiences traveling and living in Germany. He is independent and easy going and bought me a nice gift from his home town.  Sergery's reference Anthony is a very friendly guy. He gave me several recommendations on what to do in New York and made sure that my stay would be good. He has a small studio on the east side not very far from the subway.
Positive reference for Andrej (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/andrej-elias) Andrej stayed with me in NYC for a weekend before his move to Canada. He was a nice guest and was easy to host, unfortunately we didn't get much of a chance to know each other as I had to work. He is trustworthy and tidy and brought me some of his favorite snacks from his home town. I hope his move to Canada goes well. Andrej's reference: Ant was a great host. Communication was just perfect and he gave me a lot of useful info and tips. His place was just great, a bit small but very comfy. The location was just amazing and allowed me to explore NYC without slightest problems. Unfortunately he couldn't hang out cuz he was working, but we had a nice chat and he was super nice. I'd definitely stay again :)
Positive reference for Victor (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/victor-sanchez-33) It was cool having Victor stay with me for three nights for his first visit to NYC and his first couchsurfing experience. While I was busy with work, I was able to show him around my neighborhood and help with his touring itinerary and it was cool hearing about his experiences and the differences between NYC, Montreal and Madrid. He was considerate and easy to host and bought some nice breakfast and cookies! Victor's reference I really enjoyed with Ant, he’s a really good host and its location is incredible. I recommend him!
Positive reference for Vladimir (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/vovabochkov) Vladimir stayed with me for a weekend in NYC after his long trip around the US. He is a great surfer, being really positive, considerate and easy to host.  He bought me some cool beers and it was cool checking out the Halloween dog parade with him and seeing how much he loves NYC! I would highly recommend him as a surfer. Vladimir's reference: Staying with Anthony was amazing. Despite on my late arriving he hosted me, waited for me. We visited Dog Halloween parade in east village. Had so much fun. Also Ant knows a lot and i am so impressed that he's doing great job. It was so nice of him to give me keys of his apartment. He was easy to host and it was cool showing him my local area and getting some craft beers. I hope the rest of his trip goes well! Michal's reference Ant is a really great host. He showed me area close form his apartment and we went to bar to spend some time. He also recommend me some good place to eat in NYC. 
Positive reference for Stéphane (https://www.couchsurfing.com/users/961853) It was great having Stéphane stay with me for a few days in NYC at the beginning of his sailing adventure around South America, he is a experienced traveler and it was cool hearing about the places he discovered in the city and sharing some beers. He was easy to host and was helpful around my place although I regret not having a chance to try his cooking, but hopefully next time! Stéphane's reference: Ant was a very nice and trustful host ! He hosted me for 4 days in his appartment in Upper East side with all the comfort I needed. We are interesting discussion about differences of cultures between Europe, Australia and America. He gave me a lot of very good advice on how to visit New York, and he even lent me dress shoes because I needed some to go to a reception. Take car Ant, hope to see you again somewhere!  
Positive reference for Anthony (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/anthony-marty-1) Hosting Anthony for a week in NYC was super easy as he is relaxed and flexible, being happy to do his own thing but also happy to help out be cooking a great pasta or tidying things up. I enjoyed hearing about his experiences living in China and South America and I hope the rest of his NYC stay goes well. Anthony's reference: I had a great first week in NY staying with Anthony! He is a very calm and friendly person and is always ready to help and give you some good tips. I felt bad arriving at his place at 1.30am on the first night but he was very cool about it. It was cool hearing about their experiences working in upstate NY over the summer and their experiences traveling. They made me a nice dinner and were easy to host, I would definitely recommend Renča to any future hosts. I enjoyed getting to a gallery with him and hearing about his experiences living in Canada. He is really considerate and understands the spirit of couchsurfing, I would definitely recommend hosting him if he is visiting. Nate's reference: Ant was a good host! He was very friendly and very flexible. He gave me some great tips for museums which helped me discover things I probably wouldn't have. He lives in a great location in Manhattan. Reference for Roman (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/roman-hranko) I hosted Roman for two nights in NYC while having a break from his working holiday.  He is a friendly person and easy to get on with but unfortunately we didn't get much of a chance to know each other as he was out late both nights he stayed, however it was cool seeing how excited he was to be visiting NYC. Roman's reference; Ant is such an amazing couchserfer! I didn't wait for his answer for to long, his apartment is situated in the really good area with public transportation, his home is cozy and he was really patient about my a little bit late arrivals   I didn't spend so much time with Ant because I wanted to see the city a lot but he proposed help in exploring it. I truly enjoyed the time I was there!
Reference for Anthony (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/anthony-marsden) I hosted Anthony for three nights in NYC, he was busy doing his own thing most of the time he was staying so I didn't get much of a chance to know him but he was quiet coming home, trust-worthy and from our couple of brief interactions he is friendly and easy to talk too. Anthony's reference: Ant was very welcoming and kind. Was great to meet him and have a few good chats! We didn't get to spend much time together unfortunately as he was working and I was running around the city! But I had lots of freedom to do my own thing while staying with him. He is a great person with a friendly and uplifting personality, it was cool seeing how excited he was to discover NYC and hear about his experiences teaching on the West Coast. He is respectful and tidy and I enjoyed going with him to check out the East River fireworks. Diego took me out for a nice dinner and brought some thoughtful gifts from Colombia. He is a great person, easy going, independent, trustworthy and it felt having a long time friend come to stay while he was here. He loves food and it was cool hearing his perspective on the different foods he tried in NYC. He brought me a nice gift from Hong Kong and took me out for a cool Mexican dinner. He was trustworthy, thoughtful and kept in touch during his stay and didn't mind watching baseball in the evenings, I hope he gets to enjoy a game on the West Coast! He is really easy to get along with and I enjoyed hearing about his experiences traveling and skating around the city. We got to the Whitney to see a contemporary art exhibition and had some cool ice cream, he also taught me a good whiskey treatment for a sore throat! He is really easy going and easy to talk too and it was cool hear about his experiences visiting different national parks and the people he had meet traveling. He was easy to host, being out most of the day sightseeing and preferred to use his sleeping mat rather than a bed. He has a lot of traveling planned for the next few years so I hope he continues to have good experiences from couchsurfing. Kyle's reference: I had a great stay with Ant in NYC. He is easygoing and very flexible with schedules. He is in a great location on the upper east side with easy access to the subway.

His apartment was accessible from anywhere on Manhattan with just a quick subway ride. He was very flexible and arranged access to his home in whatever way worked with my schedule. He is an independent traveler and I enjoyed catching up with him in the evenings for dinner to hear about his experiences and perspectives of NYC, he is also into politics and we had some nice conversations about his experiences of traveling and living in Italy. He is quiet and reserved and perhaps because of his schedule he seemed more interested in relaxing than exploring NYC although it was cool to get out with him to Korea-town and to a local Italian restaurant. Jonathan's reference for me: Ant is really nice guy who knows a lot about the city. Positive reference for Oom (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/oomy) Oom is a great surfer, I was able to host him for a couple in nights in NYC, he is a great chef and it was cool hearing about his experiences working with famous chefs in Thailand and the US - it was cool showing him Chinatown and getting some tips for my cooking! He is thoughtful and respectful, bringing a nice gift from Thailand and buying me breakfast. Boudewijn is a great guy, easy going and it was great hearing about his experiences in music and traveling, it was cool being able to show him Chinatown and Central Park. Gio is friendly, considerate and respectful, he loves to travel and it was great being able to share some experiences of NYC with him. Positive Reference for Michael (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/michael-stiefelmeyer) It was cool being able to host Michael and his friend Jens for four nights in NYC, at the end of their big trip through Asia, Australia and the Americas. Michael is easy going and relaxed and was easy to host, he loves chess so was cool hearing about his experiences playing chess in central park. I also got to show them one of my favorite dumpling places in Chinatown which was cool. Micheal's reference: Anthony​ is a great guy, I guess he knows everything about NYC. If you have him you don't need a guide anymore. We went together to Chinatown for dinner at walked a little bit around the city. Thank you for everything!!
Reference for Nicholas (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/nicholas-bogus) Nicholas stayed with me for 3 days in NYC, I didn't get to see him much which was pretty disappointing given the amount of effort it takes to host someone, however he seemed to appreciate his stay and from our brief interactions he seemed like a cool person who would be good to hang out with.
Reference for Oliver (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/oliverbeatson) I hosted Oliver for three nights in NYC, from our brief interactions he seemed like a nice person however his stay was pretty disappointing as he seemed to use my hospitality as a free place to sleep. The only time I would hear from him was when he would wake me up late at night to be let in after his day out in NYC. Hopefully as he is new to couch surfing he might be able to show a bit more interest and respect for his future hosts.

He adapted well to my lifestyle and I enjoyed hearing about his experiences working in South America. He is thoughtful, trustworthy and it was great being able to host him for his stay in NYC even though I ended up having to go away for a night. I look forward to seeing him in Berlin in the future!

He is a nice person, friendly and easy to get on with, he was busy exploring the city for most of his stay so we didn't get much of a chance to hang out but it was cool hearing about his travels and his experiences living in South Africa. Greg's reference: Andy was a sweet and friendly host. He offered to show me around New York City and gave me some great advice about seeing the city on a budget.

Despite a blizzard, the crazy weather didn't stop him exploring NYC, even walking across the Brooklyn Bridge in the snow! He is easy going and adapted to my lifestyle quickly, we had a nice Japanese dinner and it was cool seeing how much he enjoyed being in NYC. Poss's reference: First time to couch surf and Ant made it the best! Knew a lot about NYC and allowed me to stay a little earlier than expected due the blizzard.
Positive reference for Jared (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/jaredcrowelle) Jared is a cool guy, very easy going and great to talk too. He stayed with me for a few days in NYC before heading off to Ireland and it was cool to share my lifestyle with him and hear his experiences of traveling and living in DC. He made a great dinner with some awesome pork, beans and mac and cheese, which was amazing! Hope to see him at the beach when his back from his vacation. Jared's reference: Ant was a great host. He was always up for a conversation, and explained why it's great to go to Australia, except for when he also explained how many creatures in Australia can kill you lol. His apartment was next to all kinds of great food too. Had a good time hanging with him and some of his friends over a game of FIFA (which I did better than I thought I would). He also let me cook him one of my fave dinner selections!!
Positive Reference for Juri (https://www.couchsurfing.com/users/2002720857 ) Hosting Juri was like having an old friend come to stay, he is aw esome, really e asy to get along with and a great travel er. He is a great net worker and during his stay organised a couple of dinners with other couchsurfers. I enjoyed checking out the Whitney and Guggenhe im G alleries with him and taking him to a NY C version of a Ba varian beer garden. He is also a good playstation player and hopefully I will win in FIFA when we next catch up! I would have no reservation in rec ommending him as a surfer and hope to see him in Berlin someday. Juri's reference : Ant was super nice and flexible and took me to some really nice places. He was fun to be around and knew a lot of useful information. He had also been in NYC for six weeks so knew the city well. His stay with me was his first couchsurfing experience and it would have been nice to get to know him a bit more however he was out alot. Positive Reference for Vrata (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/vratahavlik) I was lucky enough to host Vrata for a weekend in NYC during a break from his college exchange in Canada. Vrata is an awesome guy, it was his first visit and he managed to pack in as much sightseeing as possible during the weekend. Despite his big schedule we still had time to catch up and went to MOMA together and out for dinner and drinks. We both live by the same lifestyle so it was cool to hear about his experiences on vacation in Europe. Vrata is very thoughtful and considerate and I would definitely recommend him as a surfer. I hope to catch up with him again one day in Canada or the Czech Republic. Vrata's reference: I really enjoyed the stay by Ant's place. Ant is really kind, friendly, he helped me to orient in the city, recommended some places where to go. We even grabbed a beer, went to Museum of Modern Art and ate japanese food, delicious. He is a great guy, relaxed and friendly. He was new to my lifestyle and despite thinking he might be embarrassed he embraced it fully and enjoyed it. He is also really knowledgeable about NYC, having visited a few times before and gave lots of advice to help one of my other surfers Vrata with his itinerary! Jonathan was great to host and will be welcome back if he ever needs a place again. Jonathan 's refere nce: He's a really easy going person. Even though he's opened to do plans together, you can also just enjoy your time as you wish and he'll be fine with it. Very kind.

His a nice guy, quiet, considerate and respectful and also great at tidying up!
