Guillaume and Yann were great to host in Sydney, they stayed with me for six days and was great getting to know them and hear about their experiences traveling and job hunting! They made some nice meals with pasta, chicken rice and an awesome croque monsieur. I was also able to take them to a game of cricket which was cool and was great being able to talk about Australia and their experiences. I would highly recommend hosting them if they are visiting!

Ant welcomed us very well, it was such a good experience to meet a local from Sydney, who was born and raised in Bondi ! Was talked with him about the Australian culture, and the differences between France and Australia and it was pretty interesting !
He gave us some beers to drink while watching films, and he cooked a plate for us !
Furthermore, he invited us to see a match of criquet : the semi final Sydney-Brisbane of the national Championship, he even payed us a beer during the match ! He also talked to us about an old Aborigene site on a cliff that only the locals know about. So we had the opportunity to go there and enjoy a beautiful sunset ! This is typically the kind of experience we are seeking as tourists in Australia because we felt like we lived as Australian people thanks to him!
His apartment is located 15 min by walking from Bondi, which is perfect !

It was an early January day and the past week had been unseasonally wet and cool in Sydney, however that morning the sun was out and while the forecast suggested a possible afternoon thunderstorm, my mate and I decided to risk it and get down to Werrong nude beach , which is about an hour south of Sydney in the Royal National Park. Leaving Sydney the sun was out bright with white clouds in the distance but going down the highway the clouds darkened and darkened until about 10 mins from the start of the bush walk to Werrong it started to pour and my car theometer said the temp had dropped from 29 to 21! By the time we had arrived the rain had stopped and the road was steaming from the downpour. The walk from the road includes the popular Bundena to Otford trial and also the trial to the instagram famous figure of 8 pools. Couchsurfing with Alexander - hosted Sydney Feb 2023

Alexander from Ukraine - https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/alexander-zhilin Alexander was a nice guest and was cool to host him for a few days when he first arrived in Australia, we had some beers, whiskey and chats about Australia and his time living in Ukraine, Thailand and Croatia. His cool to talk too, easy to get on with and was cool to give him his first experience as a couchsurfer rather than as a host! Alexander's reference Ant is a really nice host. He shared with me beer and a meal on the first day. The room is very clean. The location is good. I enjoyed very much staying with him!
